Over 230,000 Households in the DFW Metroplex are "Un-banked"

According to a study by the FDIC in December of 2009, there are over 230,000 households in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro Area considered to be "un-banked". That is roughly 10.9% of the population in DFW that do not (for whatever reason) have a banking or checking account.  It is even more startling when you dive deeper into the study.  The study revealed that Dallas County has 13.6% of all households fall into the un-banked category.

It's probably not a shock if you think about it.  You have probably noticed the number of check cashing stores that have sprung up out of nowhere over the past few years.  They certainly know it.  The un-banked population operates in a cash-based money management system and these new businesses are here to help... for anywhere from 1.5% to 3.0% of the employee's pay.

Many of these hardworking people may be your employees.  We have a solution.  The Cash Management Card is actually cheaper than cash.  Really. The chart below compares our card to a cash based system.  With The Cash Management Card, money is deposited directly onto the card.  There is no need to drive down to work, pick up and paycheck, then drive to a check cashing store and pay hundreds of dollars every year for the "privilege" of letting them cash the paychecks.  Click on the chart below for a larger view.

If you would like to help your employees by offering a way to get out of the challenges of a "cash only" world, call us.  We can help.

Are you choking on implementation fees?

As your company investigates options to help introduce a 100% direct deposit process, you will be surprised (if you haven't been already) at the charges a vendor will likely charge you to implement their program.  Are you sitting down?  It is often thousands of dollars. Thousands... right off your bottom line.  And, on top of that, there may be a maintenance charge as well.  Why?

Our corporate clients were all surprised to find out how low our implementation and maintenance fees are.  How low?   ZERO.  Now that's low. No charge.  How much money will that save your company?

Let us show you how (and why) we do that.  Zero.  Really. No charge.

Why do you need a contract?

Many companies are required to sign contracts with vendors for the "privilege" of using their product.  Does that really make sense to you?  It doesn't to us.  We want to earn your business.  If you like our product and are happy with our service,... well, we have the privilege of having you as a client.  We would rather have clients who choose to do business with us instead of being legally bound to doing business with us.  That makes sense, don't you think?

Banks Do It Again!!! Raise Rates.

Just when you thought it was safe to get a bank account, well, you may have to think again.  Although more of a disappointment than a surprise, the decision to raise monthly fees and overdraft fees has many wondering why they even have a bank account.  The article from Time in the link below explains that everyone will potentially feel the impact.  In addition to increasing monthly service fees and overdraft charges, the minimum balance has gone up.  There is no apparent end in sight.
