Over 230,000 Households in the DFW Metroplex are "Un-banked"

According to a study by the FDIC in December of 2009, there are over 230,000 households in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro Area considered to be "un-banked". That is roughly 10.9% of the population in DFW that do not (for whatever reason) have a banking or checking account.  It is even more startling when you dive deeper into the study.  The study revealed that Dallas County has 13.6% of all households fall into the un-banked category.

It's probably not a shock if you think about it.  You have probably noticed the number of check cashing stores that have sprung up out of nowhere over the past few years.  They certainly know it.  The un-banked population operates in a cash-based money management system and these new businesses are here to help... for anywhere from 1.5% to 3.0% of the employee's pay.

Many of these hardworking people may be your employees.  We have a solution.  The Cash Management Card is actually cheaper than cash.  Really. The chart below compares our card to a cash based system.  With The Cash Management Card, money is deposited directly onto the card.  There is no need to drive down to work, pick up and paycheck, then drive to a check cashing store and pay hundreds of dollars every year for the "privilege" of letting them cash the paychecks.  Click on the chart below for a larger view.

If you would like to help your employees by offering a way to get out of the challenges of a "cash only" world, call us.  We can help.
